Psychologists are experts in providing psychological therapy and may specialise in a particular type of therapy or approach, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) or Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). They aim to enhance and promote psychological well-being, and to enable people to engage in meaningful relationships and activities that they value.
Psychologists work with people who are experiencing a wide range of mental and physical health problems, including anxiety, depression, addiction, eating disorders, relationship and interpersonal issues, psychosis, PTSD, chronic pain, and dementia.
