Person-Centred Counselling

Person Centred Counselling

The Person-Centred Approach grew from the work done by the psychologist Dr. Carl Rogers (1902-1987) and does not use structured techniques, but instead relies completely on the creation of a positive psychological environment by the counsellor, so that the person seeking treatment will be able to realise and fulfil their personal potential. This environment can be achieved when being treated by a counsellor who is deeply empathic, unconditionally accepting and genuine.
