The session is begun by inducing deep relaxation and an altered state of consciousness also known as a trance; the Hypnotherapist then carries out certain psychological therapy methods. A person in this state is usually much more responsive to an idea or image – your Hypnotherapist can also teach you how to master your own state of awareness, to take better control of your own bodily functions and psychological responses.
