Hello, I’m Clare.
I am a Reflexologist and hold a Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology. My aim is to provide
enjoyable, relaxing and informative treatments.
Reflexology works on the whole person and not just on symptoms or a condition by
encouraging the body back into balance and to heal itself. It is a safe and non-intrusive
therapy that can deeply relax and release tension from the body.
I decided to train in reflexology as it helped me overcome issues that I had with stress. Whilst stress is not an illness, it can lead to a range of physical and mental health disorders and I suffered from several episodes of ill-health over a two year period. The many symptoms I had and conditions I was diagnosed with provide great examples of how stress can affect the body.
Having a long held interest in holistic therapies, I decided to try reflexology treatments to see if they would help alleviate my symptoms of back pain, that I had at the time. I had tried many of the other mainstream and other approaches to treat this condition from tablets from the doctor, chiropractic treatments, physiotherapy and others and these had not been successful. Over time, having regular reflexology treatments helped; my stress levels reduced and the pain went away.
This success I had with reflexology made me realise that I needed to change my life; to
reduce my stress and to do something that I enjoy doing, which is helping others. Reflexology is one of the main avenues that provides the opportunity for me to do this. I look forward to helping you.
I currently volunteer at the local hospice, The Primrose, providing reflexology to patients who are living with life-limiting illnesses or require supportive care and their families. I am committed to continuing professional development and have recently undertaken a Maternity Reflexology course (July ’18) and am trained in Hot Stones Reflexology.
I am a member of the Association of Reflexologists (AoR).
